Who are we?

The Association of Study Abroad Providers consists of four program providers - Academic Studies Abroad, the Center for International Studies, Knowledge Exchange Institute, and International Education Programs at Jacksonville University.

What are we?

ASAP is a consortium of providers all joined together to provide quality academic study abroad programs to college students. Currently we offer programs in 19 countries and 42 cities consisting of study, volunteer and intern opportunities. We aim to provide students with programs that immerse them into the culture in which they are studying.

Why do we exist?

ASAP exists to give college students a broader selection of study abroad opportunities through any of our provider programs. Our representatives will give you a look into all our programs and help direct you along your study abroad experience.

Academic Studies Abroad

Center for International Studies

CIS, the Center for Internationa Studies, is a global, international education organization dedicated to offering safe, challenging and exciting study abroad experiences to students who have, at minimum, a high school diploma (you do not need to be in college or university). Founded in 1991, CIS Worldwide currently sends mre than 1300 students abroad annually to eight countries on four continents including Australia, England, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, Spain, and Sweden.

International Education Programs at Jacksonville University

The Office of International Education Programs at Jacksonville University seek to promote global learning by exposing students and faculty to other countries, cultures, and languages. We seek to engage students and faculty in global issues and to issues of U.S. relations with the rest of the world by promoting studying, living, service and internship opportunities abroad. We provide quality international academic experiences at some of the most prestigioius institutions of higher education across the globe. Whether you are interested in developing your language skills, immersing yourself in another culture or earning credit towards your degree, the International Education Programs staff will assist you throughout the process.

Knowledge Exchange Institute

The Knowledge Exchange Institute (KEI) was established in 1997 to promote international education, professional development and cultural exchange through study and intern abroad programs. KEI offers programs in a wide range of disciplines -including science, biomedicine, math, environmental studies, computer science, business, economics, information systems, tourism, hospitality, international relations, legal studies, journalism, communications, psychology, sociology, art, design, music, foreign languages, culture and liberal arts. All programs are taught in ENGLISH, by faculty from the host institutions. Students can also take courses taught in the host language. Local students take classes with KEI student to increase cultural and social exchange.

Professional, clinical and research internships are available. KEI programs include academic credit (accredited university in the USA), housing, insurance, cultural activities, overnight excursions, on-site coordinator, orientation, airport welcome, and a mobile phone.
